How the estimate works

Employers with fewer than 100 employees pay at least one-sixth of the cost. Employers with 100 or more pay 50%.
The published maximum is $10,000 per trainee. Small employers training previously unemployed new hires may get up to $15,000 per trainee.
Not every course qualifies. Vendor product training, legally required training, executive programs, consulting, conferences and anything over a year are excluded. Training must come from an eligible third-party provider.
